Our client is the Journals division of a prestigious global academic publisher with a strong portfolio across STM, Humanities and Social Science disciplines.
The division is now looking to recruit an experienced VP Journal Sales for the Americas, providing strategic vision and leadership to consolidate and grow journal sales (subscription and open access) to library, institutional and consortia clients and also to identify opportunities to develop the corporate marketplace.
This is a mission-critical role shaping and implementing the sales strategy and leading sales in a vital territory as part of a global sales leadership team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience building and leading sales teams in academic and institutional journal sales, ideally across multiple revenue models, together with the vision, business acumen and gravitas to drive positive change and proven experience working as part of a global matrix organisation. Exposure to government and corporate markets would also be an advantage.
