Our client is a global library services provider with an excellent reputation for innovative online and technology solutions for all areas of library management. The group is now looking to hire an experienced, commercially astute Library Consultant to support the introduction of Cloud-based LMS services to existing and new clients throughout the UK and Ireland. The Constant will provide support to the sales and account management teams during the pre-sales process, demonstrating the products to existing and prospective clients, liaising with library customers to ensure alignment of their requirements with the functionality of the new services, and developing high-level sales briefings, collateral and demo scripts for the sales teams. He/she will also take the lead on RFPs and Invitations to Tender to institutions across the region, feeding customer requirements into the product development process and ensuring the sales teams are kept up to date with latest product enhancements.
You will be a qualified information professional or library systems specialist who can combine technical and service expertise with a high level of commercial awareness, an ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences, excellent communication and relationship-building skills and a thorough understanding of the library environment. The role will require 40% travel throughout the region, and though home-based, the Consultant will need to travel to the Sheffield office regularly to meet with technical, product and sales staff.
