Our client is a market leader in the development of leading-edge technology propositions for the publishing and research markets, building and funding the development of some of the best-known and most innovative brands to come to market in the last decade.
The individual groups within the portfolio now have well-developed marketing resources for their specific product lines, but the group now needs to hire an experienced senior marketing and communications strategist to drive a change management initiative focusing on improved marketing analytics and the delivery of actionable intelligence to shape marketing strategy at central level. The Director will also focus on the development of centralised resources supporting the individual businesses, as well as overseeing branding and message at group level.
This is a mission-critical one-year project, working the equivalent of three days a week, and will suit a director-level strategic marketing professional with proven expertise in social media and web analytics, including use of both off-the-shelf and proprietary analysis tools. He/she will be expert in shaping raw data into acti0nable intelligence feeding into marketing and communications strategy. He/she will also be a technology-savvy manager with the credibility to talk peer to peer to highly innovative technologists skilled in monetising complex technology propositions.
The role can be on a day rate basis or pro rata of a base salary; location is also flexible, but the Director will be required to be in the London office at least one day a week.
